Yesterday saw the private viewing and launch party for the Fab Collective’s first exhibition at St. Luke’s bombed out church in Liverpool city centre.
Months of planning and preparation finally culminated in the showcasing of a variety of different images and photographic styles in one of Liverpool’s most iconic buildings. Everything from the pre-launch publicity to the hanging system for the prints was finely orchestrated. The only thing we couldn’t do much about was the weather. If you’re familiar with St. Luke’s at all you’ll know that it doesn’t have a roof. By the time the doors were open, the sky had already opened and we were cursing our weather related misfortune however as visitors started to arrive, the rain died off and held off right until the end of the event.
The viewing was a great success and there was a great show of support from everyone who attended. If you were there or you’ve visited the exhibition since then, thank you for taking the time. If you haven’t yet been… Go!
Here’s a few words from our Terry…

Great exhibition and great space – i’ve been telling everyone about it and to get down and have a look!

Dragged the family along to check out the exhibition on Sunday and fortunately the weather played the game. Most impressive. I can’t even begin to imagine how much hard work and discussion must have gone on behind the scenes to make it happen.
Great to see the different interpretations people had of the various quotes and some real talent on display. Can’t wait to see what you fab folk are up to next.

Thanks for your support guys! For most of us in the group, it’s our first exhibition so we really appreciate everyone who’s made the effort to come and see our work.
