About

Thank you for visiting my website and taking an interest in learning more about me.

I’m a Liverpool based photographer and I’ve been nuts about photography since my early years.  For me, photographs are a wonderful way of preserving memories and I still have the very first photographs I ever took some 2+ decades ago.  I’ve always loved flicking through my parents’ photo albums and wondering what their lives were like growing up.  I guess this is what’s led me to want to photograph the people I meet and also the places I visit.  To be able to convey the essence of a moment by means of a photograph is what I continually strive to do and hopefully, you can see this in the images I produce.

As I live in Liverpool, many of my photographs will be from the local area, but I’m certainly not averse to shooting further afield in places such as Sri Lanka and Hong Kong.  If I should win the lottery this weekend, I may well be booking a flight and packing my camera gear next weekend.

It’s true to say that photography helps me to see the world differently and to appreciate it in ways I haven’t before.   For example, I’ve always had what I consider to be a completely natural fear of heights and before photography I wasn’t much of a fan of walking, but these days one of my favourite pursuits is to combine landscape photography with hill walking.  This is much to my wife’s delight since it means plenty of trips to the likes of Cumbria’s Lake District, long treks together and some wonderfully tasty local food.

So, anyway, enough about me.  Let’s get back to the photographs. :O)
